Climate Action Can’t Wait!

 

The science is in. More than 97% of climate scientists believe that climate change is caused primarily by humans. Through the burning of fossil fuels like gasoline, oil, and coal, carbon dioxide is building up in our atmosphere and trapping heat.

Mississauga and the rest of the Greater Toronto Area are being affected by climate change right now! Over the coming years, our climate will become increasingly warmer, wetter, and wilder.

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, we have only about 6 years left to reduce global greenhouse gases by at least 50% to limit the worst effects of climate change.

The good news is there are LOTS of sustainable solutions that we can implement right now!
